Commercial refrigeration

Refrigeration and air conditioning have always sat side by side at KILM. For hotels, kitchens and hospitality sites it makes little sense to have two contractors attending the same plant room.

Equipment we look after

  • Walk-in cold rooms and freezer rooms
  • Cellar cooling for bars and hotels
  • Kitchen refrigeration and blast chillers
  • Display cabinets and back-bar units
  • Condensing units, packs and remote plant
  • Temperature monitoring and alarm checks
  • Defrost, controls and door heater faults
  • F-Gas leak checking and refrigerant records

Why it sits with the HVAC contract

In hotels and commercial kitchens the refrigeration plant usually shares a plant room, a roof and an electrical supply with the air conditioning. Splitting it between two contractors means two asset registers, two sets of F-Gas records and an argument about whose plant caused the high head pressure.

When refrigeration fails, stock is on the clock. Where a permanent repair will take time, we will look at temporary cooling so trading can continue — availability depends on what is free at the time, so tell us the capacity and location and we will confirm what is possible.

Refrigeration not holding temperature?

Tell us the equipment, the temperature it is holding and whether stock is at risk.
