Commercial air conditioning in Birmingham

We work on commercial plant across Birmingham, Solihull and the wider West Midlands — hotels, offices, schools, retail units and managed estates — on maintenance contracts, breakdowns and replacement work.

Commercial work is not a bigger version of a domestic install

Most air conditioning firms in the city do house splits and small offices. That is legitimate work, but it is a different job. A commercial site has plant that other people depend on, records somebody has to produce when asked, and no convenient time to switch anything off.

On a commercial site we are dealing with multiple systems of different ages, refrigerant volumes that bring F-Gas obligations, roof and riser access that has to be booked, and occupants who notice immediately when a floor goes warm. The technical work is only half of it — the rest is planning around how the building actually runs.

If you want the domestic side of what we do, that sits separately on our domestic air conditioning page.

What we cover in and around Birmingham

Maintenance and compliance

Planned visits set by plant type and duty, with the paperwork kept current rather than rebuilt in a panic before an audit.

  • Planned preventative maintenance contracts
  • Asset registers built from the plant, not from old paperwork
  • F-Gas leak checking and refrigerant records
  • Service sheets with readings after every visit
  • Remedial works quoted separately and clearly
  • Single sites and multi-site portfolios

Plant, repairs and replacement

The same engineers who maintain the plant deal with it when it fails and when it needs replacing.

  • VRF and VRV systems, branch controllers and pipework
  • Chillers, pump sets and associated controls
  • AHUs, fan coils, kitchen extract and supply ventilation
  • Cold rooms, cellar cooling and kitchen refrigeration
  • Breakdown attendance and fault diagnosis
  • Phased replacement of end-of-life plant in occupied buildings

Working on live Birmingham sites

City-centre buildings bring their own constraints: shared roofs, permits to work, restricted lift access, scaffold or crane lifts that need a road closure, and plant rooms shared between landlord and tenant. We would rather establish that at survey stage than discover it on the morning of an install.

Where an area cannot go off during trading or occupancy, work gets planned for evenings, nights or quiet periods, and staged so the building is never left without cooling in the areas that matter most.

Coverage is centred on Birmingham, Solihull, West Midlands and the surrounding Midlands, with wider UK attendance for existing multi-site clients where it makes sense. We do not run local branch offices and do not pretend to.
